During the month, 23 training programmes were conducted with a participation of 550 (Average 23.9), which included two Trainers’ Training Programmes for capacity building of PACS functionaries under the Reform Package for Cooperatives. Under this package, so far we have trained 144 Master Trainers from 9 States and 38 officers from NABARD. With this, the total number of In-campus programmes conducted during the first four months of 2007-08 stood at  65 with a participation of 1327 (Average 20.4).

New Programmes: An exclusive programme on Management Development  for women officers of RRBs was developed and conducted during the month. The programme received good response and was attended by 23 women officers. We also conducted new programmes on ‘Methods to tackle NPA and improve asset quality’ and  ‘Marketing of Bank Products and Services’ for RRBs and Cooperatives.

A quick assessment of Training Needs of RRBs was done by us by designing and circulating a simple format among all RRBs. The responses received by us have been compiled and are being used for marketing of our programmes. We are reviewing our programmes and planning for on-location programmes based on the responses received. We have also forwarded the compiled information to RTCs for their use.
