| In-Campus Programmes |
|
During the month, 16 In-Campus training programmes were conducted with 309 participants. The average participation during the month worked out to 19.3. With this, the total number of In-Campus programmes conducted during the year 2006-07 stood at 167 with a participation of 3881(Average 23.2) as against 190 programmes with 4219 participants (average 22.2) during the corresponding period of the last year.

Five customized programmes (2 In-Campus and 3 On-location) on Management of Change and Project financing were conducted for the officers of Baroda Eastern Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank. |
|
Overseas Exposure Visits on microFinance were conducted during the month to Thailand, the Philippines and Bangladesh with 13, 11 and 17 participants respectively.

On-location Programmes |
|
5 on location programmes were conducted during the month including one programme on Tree-Borne Oil Seeds at Bhavnagar , one on Cluster Development at Bidar, Karnataka and three customized programmes for officials of BEUPGB on Management of Change. |

Meetings |

The Syllabus Committee Meeting – cum - Training Consultation Workshop was conducted on 26-27 Feb 2007 with select senior client representatives to discuss and finalise programme designs and modules for 2007-08. The Workshop was attended by 29 participants representing Commercial Banks, RRBs, Cooperative Banks and NGO sector besides senior representatives from NABARD HO (HRDD), NABARD UPRO and NBSC, Lucknow. The Workshop facilitated interaction with various agencies/ partners working in the field of rural finance and rural development in order to arrive at the training strategy for 2007-08 and enabled the institute to gain insight into the emerging areas for which training was sought by the customers |

Faculty meetings were held twice during the month. Important issues relating to training, consultancy, Syllabus Committee Meeting, etc., were discussed in detail during the meetings. |

Other activities |
|
SIDBI had hired BIRD’s infrastructural facilities for conducting their Partners’ Meet on 6 Feb 2007. The Meet was attended by about 60 participants. |
|
Infrastructural facilities were hired by NABARD FAD HO to conduct their Annual Closing Workshop during 21-23 Feb 2007. |
|
A Workshop for finalisation of Training Modules of PACS is being conducted on 1-2 March 2007 in the Conference Hall of BIRD. |
